SHERMAN - Delmar Ray Barnes, 75-year-old Sherman resident, passed away Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008 at his residence.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at Covenant Church in Sherman. Burial will be 3 p.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville.
Delmar is survived by his wife, Frankie Barnes of Sherman; sister, Rita Almon of San Manto, Calif.; daughter-in-law, Robbie Barnes of Sherman; special friends, Jamie and Micheal Reed of Sherman; seven grandchildren, Aaron Barnes of Sherman, Stephen Barnes of West Point, N.Y., Stuart Barnes of Carrollton, Kacy Kupper of Sherman, Leslie Jackson of Sherman, Melissa Lollis of McKinney and Micheal Reed of Sherman; and two great-grandchildren, Madilyn Roberts and Jackson Thomas Kupper, both of Sherman.
Delmar was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Retha Barnes; and one son, Mark Anthony Barnes.
Clement-Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville has charge of arrangements. No visitation is planned.
