Michael F. Ducy I, 57, of St. Louis, MO, died February 19, 2005 at 10:24 p.m.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 24,2004, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home with Sister Glenda Bourgeois officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. A visitation was held on Monday, February 21, 2005, in St. Louis. Interment with 'Flight Home' Ceremony and Military Rites performed by the Macon County Honor Guard will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorial contibutions, in lieu of flowers, are suggested to: the Hospice Patient Fund, Office of Development BJC Hospice at st. Louis, P.O Box 504043 , St. Louis, MO, 63150-0001. Mike was born on January 7, 1948, in Decatur, the son of Dan and Dorothea (Koons) Ducy. He was employed by Kaiser Electric, St. Louis, MO, as chief estimator. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during Vietnam.
Surviving are his parents of Decatur; daughters Valerie Ducy and Jennie Costello of St. Louis; son Michael Ducy II and wife Nicol of Chicago; two brothers, Bill Ducy and wife Teri of Decatur, Dave Ducy and wife Linda of Ft. Wayne, IN; and Phillis James, his special companion and caretaker.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
The family wishes to thank the many people for the prayers and support received during the long battle. God is receivng one of the best.
