Kristin Marie Harkness, 18, died unexpectedly February 22, 2008 at Florida State University. She is survived by her parents Tom & Linda Harkness; sister, Jessica Harkness; brother, Eric Harkness; grandmother, Dorothy Harkness; and many other loving family and friends. Kristin was born in Melbourne, Florida on March 19, 1989. The daughter of an Air Force officer, Kristin lived at Misawa Air Base, Japan where she attended a Japanese pre-school and kindergarten before moving to Manassas, Virginia where she was raised and loved by all who had the good fortune to know her. An outstanding athlete and student, Kristin played soccer, basketball, ran track, and was the captain of her high school cheerleading team. After graduating from Osbourn Park High School, she enrolled at Florida State University in June 2007. Kristin's warm and trusting heart, pure honesty, competitive spirit, sparkling smile, engaging personality, and contagious laugh will be deeply missed by her loving family and the many dear friends she loved.
