I found her middle name in the obituary posted on her original memorial. Agnes died at age 13 during the historical time prior to the discovery of antibiotics and most likely due to some sort of viral or bacterial infection. Her county of birth and death was a rural agricultural & textile-producing county (beginning in 1890) across the river from the state capitol. The only area hospital at that time, if any, was across the river in Columbia. But the Gervais Street bridge to cross the river was not completed until 1926. Any river crossing would have had to be by boat or ferry.
