The servicemen's remains were recovered and received at the Gorgas Hospital Mortuary in the Panama Canal Zone on 7 June 1946. They were buried in Corozol Panama on the same date, 7 June 1948. According to interment records the men's remains were brought back to the United States ‘from overseas' and they were buried on 11 May 1948 in the Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN.
