Eva was born on February 7, 1913 to Edward and Marie (Berktold) Gregoire on the family farm in Greenbush Township, rural Donnybrook, N.D. She attended a rural school in that area and graduated from Donnybrook Public School. She married Clarence Miller on June 19, 1934 in Donnybrook at St Anthony's Catholic Church. Following their marriage, they took over the family farm. In 1944, they moved to their present farm in Donnybrook where they lived and raised five children. Eva made her family first priority and attended many sporting events of her children and grandchildren. Eva dedicated herself to caring for her husband during his ailing years until he died in November 2000 She continued living on the farm until entering the Baptist Home in Kenmare, February 2008.
Eva was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Confraternity of Christian Mother's. As a homemaker, her favorite things were gardening, cooking, baking (especially pies) and canning. She was fond of her dog, Chica and kittens but enjoyed the farm animals especially the sheep.
