Carl married Anna Engel Wacker in Germany and they had three children: Louise Sophie Engel, Louise Henriette, and Caroline Agnese Engel. After the death of Anna he married a second time, again in Germany, to Marie Louise Elis Kasting and they had 6 children: Luise Agnese Henrietta Quebe, Engel Henriette Louise Quebe and Louise Caroline Marg Quebe in Germany and Henry Christian Quebe, Fritz Henry Quebe, and Emma Quebe in Texas. They came to Texas about 1882 and settled in the Gay Hill area
