Funeral services were yesterday for William H. Aycock, 70, Athens, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Tilford Junkins officiating. Burial was in the Athens City Cemetery, McConnell Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Aycock died Sunday at 11:20 a.m. in the Athens-Limestone Hospital after an apparent heart attack while at church services.


Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Orine Aycock; a son, Hubert Aycock Jr; two daughters, Mrs. Francis Cross, Jasper, AL, and Dr. June Foley, Huntsville; six grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Edna Beauchamp and Mrs. Leo Humphrey, both of Decatur, Mrs. Sara L'Hereux and Mrs. Helen Herndon, both of Memphis; a brother, Johnnie Aycock, Decatur and several nieces and nephews.


Mr. Aycock was a native of Morgan County. He and Mrs. Aycock have been partners with others in the U. G. White Hardward Co. since moving to Athens in 1933.


Married Orine White on December 20, 1919, Morgan Co, AL.
