CHEBANSE - Charles E. Ingram, 70, of Chebanse, died Tuesday (Aug. 31, 1999) at his home.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the Hertz-Thoma Funeral Chapel, Kankakee, and from 11 a.m. Saturday until the 2 p.m. services at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna.
Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
He was born April 22, 1929, in Cobden, the son of Ed and Eva Ingram. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are his wife, the former Vae Burpo, whom he married Aug. 20, 1950; one daughter and son-in-law, of Carbondale; two sons and one daughter- in-law, of Chicago, and of Malvern, Ohio; one sister, of Cobden; and five grandsons,Deceased is one son, David.
He was a man of God who lived his faith. He was ordained in 1956 and pastored for 43 years at various Baptist churches. He also worked for plumbing wholesale companies throughout the area.
