James J Morano, 72,
of Mount Vernon Plaza, New Castle. died Sunday after a short illness. A native of Italy. he came to United States as a child. He was a postal clerk, retiring in 1958 after 36 year's of service. He was a secretery at St Paul's Catholic Church, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Monaghan Council. He is survived by is wife, Mrs Verna A, Morano; a son, James W, of Wilmington; six daughters; Mrs Rose Cox of Newark, Mrs Betty Smidt of Klaire Estates, Mrs. Margaret klosowski of Maple Crest, Mrs Florence DiJiancoma of Wilmington, Mrs Lois Jackson of Newark, and Mrs Jean DalGesso of Elsmere; 25 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a step-son, Harvey A Walls of Wilmington; and one-step-daughter, Mrs Grace E. Muscelli fo Wilmington. Mass of the Resurrection will be offered Thursday morning at 10:30 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Garfield Park, Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. Friedns may call at the Mealey Funeral Home, 7th and Broom Sts., tomorrow night.
