HERMISTON - Elinor I. Hanson, 87, of Umatilla died on Dec. 15, 2007, at the Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Irrigon. A private family burial was held at the Hermiston Cemetery.

Mrs. Hanson was born on Jan. 29, 1920, in Tekamah, Neb. to Earl and Dora "Maude" Byers Prusia Sr. She was united in marriage to Clarence Hanson in 1945 in Touchet, Wash. They settled in the Hermiston area in 1955.

Mrs. Hanson is survived by her sons Louis Hanson of Milton-Freewater, Larry Hanson of Echo, and Clarence "Jim" Lester of Spokane, Wash.; daughter Mary Ann Elloway of Navato, Calif.; brothers Clayton Prusia of College Place and Merle Prusia of Monroe, Wash.; sister Elaine Smith of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; 16 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence in 1964; her parents; and sister Verna Schoepflin.
