Norman L. Allen, 63, a former mechanic for Llewellyn Pontiac, retiring in 1974, died at 11:03 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Hospital shortly after being admitted. He lived at 565 E. 46th St., Lorain. Born in Rocky River, Ohio, he was a Lorain resident for the past forty-five years coming from West View, Ohio. He was a World War II, U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Surviving is his wife of 37 years, Alice; one son, Donald of Vermilion; one granddaughter; and one sister, Mrs. Edward (Elizabeth) Bober of Lorain. Friends will be received tonight from 7 to 9 and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the John R. Dovin Funeral Home, where services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. Rev. Allan Vine, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridgehill Memorial Park, where the Disabled American Veterans will conduct full military rites.
