The parents of Silas Byron Gifford were Jonathan Gifford and Mary Jane Cunningham whose death and burial information are unknown at this time. Jonathan Gifford was listed as father of Silas on the 1893 marriage application for Silas B. Gifford and Mary Alice Ayers, his second wife. (David Raymond Gifford who was originally listed as the father of Silas was actually his uncle.)
