The 1912 History of Lake County states, "Jackson was educated at the High School of Wilmington, Lake Forest Academy, Cornell University, Lake Forest University, and Northwestern Law School. He located in Lake Forest in 1890, where he has since resided, practicig law in Chicago and Lake Forest since 1901....He was a candidate for the State legislature in 1908 and 1910. He is a member of the Presbyterian Church. He is unmarried". p. 513.
