A native of Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Oscar and Martha Jane Sanders Noell. She was the widow of George W. Bridges and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Rev. Mark Fife officated with burial in the Crawford Cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Jack B. (Edith) Hulme,Columbia,S.C., Mrs. Christine B. Colquitt, Mrs. Jean Anderson, Crawford and Mrs.J(ohn) F(rank) Alexander, Birmingham,Ala., three sons, Lamar Bridges Sr., Lexington, Judson B. Bridges, Crawford, and Lanier Bridges, Tucker; two sisters Mrs. Mattie Almand, Comer, and Mrs. Mary Scarbrough, Crawford, 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
