Robert Calder

Children youngest to oldest are Grace Calder-Hainer, Lizzie Calder, Jean Fortune Calder-Campbell, Robert Calder. Picture taken at Duns Berwickshire Scotland in the garden of the Fortune house at Bridgend the year their father George Liddle Calder died.

The United States Army: "This is to Certify that Robert G. Calder enlisted the 30th day of September 1898 for 3 yrs in the United Sates Service as a soldier in Troop F, 7th Cavalry and served 3 yrs and was honorably discharged on the 29th day of September 1901. Joined 7th Cavalry at Huntsville Alabama, Oct 5, 1898. Arrived Cuba January 25th 1899. Appointed Corporal January 26, 1900. Promoted Sergt. Feb 6th 1901. Appointed 1st Sergt. May 15th 1901. Discharged Sept 29th 1901. re-enlisted & continued in grade of 1st Sergt. Sept 30th 1901. Left Havana Cuba May 20th 1902 taking station at Camp Geo. H. Thomas, Chickamauga Park, Georgia May 25th 1902. Previous Service: 4months & 16 days, Co "M" 2nd Nebraska. Volunteer Infantry. Discharged Sept 28, 1898 at Omaha, Nebraska.
