Marjorie L. Krueger, 77, of Sheboygan, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday, September 2, 2008, following a battle with cancer. Born January 7, 1931, in the Town of Centerville, Marjorie was a daughter of the late Alfred and Louisa Wiegand Lorfeld. Marjorie was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. On June 22, 1963, she married Elwood F. Krueger.

Marjorie worked for various businesses in the city of Sheboygan including the City of Sheboygan Health Department and later entered the U. S. Department of Foreign Service where she spent 5 years of service in Czechoslovakia, Germany and Lebanon. She returned to Sheboygan in 1960 and worked for Wisconsin Telephone Company in Sheboygan and Appleton. After leaving WI Telephone she was employed by the Boy Scouts of America, the Sheboygan Water Utility and the Sheboygan Area School District from 1974 until her retirement in 1996. Marjorie was a faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, having served as President, Treasurer and Secretary. She was also a member of the Sheboygan Historical Society and served as Secretary and Treasurer. Marjorie volunteered at the Visiting Nurses "Shoo the Flu" Program.

She is survived by her children Michael (Patti) Krueger, Daniel (Patricia) Krueger and Kathy Krueger; four grandchildren, Michael (Lisa) Krueger, Christopher (Kristy) Krueger, Angela (Ron) Simonet and Chad Krueger; two sisters, Delores Beuchel and Elaine Sieker; one brother Glenn Lorfeld; three sisters-in-law Mrs. Bernett Lorfeld, Mrs. Lillian Lorfeld and Mrs. Loretta Hintz; three great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Edward and Robert Lorfeld and her husband Elwood F. Krueger.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6, 2008, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2104 Geele Ave., with the Rev. Diane Loberger, pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends are welcome at the church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A memorial fund has been established in her name for St. Peter Lutheran Church and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for the loving care they gave Marjorie. The Lippert-Olson Funeral Home is serving the family.
