FUNERAL SERVICES FOR HENRY JACOB BORING
Henry Jacob Boring, age 63, 1618 North B Street, Coppertown, died at the
Wilson County Hospital on Aug 1, 1954, after an illness of one year.
Henry J. Boring was born Jan. 14, 1891, at Indianapolis, Ind. He came to
Kansas in 1900, and was married to Pearl Sapp in 1915 at Erie. They
came to Neodesha in 1928. He was employed by the V. V. V. Brick Co.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Pearl Boring, of the home, one sister,
Mrs. Gladys Bowers, Claremore, Okla. and three brothers, Charles Boring,
Clinton, Okla,; Mike Boring, Fredonia, and William Boring, Long Beach,
Calif.; Two daughters, Inez Pearl and Levica Mae preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at the William Fawcett Funeral Home August
3 at 10 a.m.; conducted by the Rev. Preston J. Theall.
Miss Ada Ruth Ross and Mrs. Preston J. Theall sang "The Land Where We'll
Never Grow Old" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Mrs. Preston J. Theall
played the accompaniment. The casket bearers were Ben Moore, Ralph
Mosses, Harry Scott, Harold Cook, Jim Drake and Fred W. Zinn. Interment
was in the Helper, Kansas, cemetery.
Out of town relatives attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Boring and Francis, Clinton, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bowers, Claremore,
Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. Alva Hess and Jimmy Dale, Parsons; Mr.and Mrs. Wayne
Jaynes, Yats Center; Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Smith and Bobby, and Mrs.
Leland Wiggins, Kent and Sherry, of Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Basil Scharff,
Eureka; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Boring, Fredonia; Mrs. George Sherman, Mrs. J.H.
Cardray, Mrs. Arley Dunbar, Tulsa, Okla. Ben Moore and Ralph Mosses of
St. Paul, friends of the family, also attended the funeral.
