Former Poultry Market Owner, Earl App, Dies
Earl B. App, 67, former owner of the Food City Poultry market at 572 Northeast Capital avenue, died Saturday at the Elks national home in Bedford, Va., where he had been a resident since last July.
Funeral services are to be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday at the Hayes funeral home in South Bend, and burial will be made at Bristol, Ind., his birthplace.
Mr. App had owned the local business before moving here from Bristol in 1945. Their home was at 76 East avenue north. His wife, the former Eva Kesselring, died three years ago.
After the death of his wife, Mr. App sold the market to Mr. and Mrs. Casper Clark of 169 Upton avenue and during his last year's residence in Battle Creek, Mr. App made his home with the Clarks.
