Rev. E. O. Smith was called to Castle Hill on Monday to officiate at the funeral of Wilbur Holmes, son of Samuel Holmes. He was about 20 years old. He was sick only about a day, and it is thought he must have eater something poisonous. It is a severe blow to his parents, and they have the sympathy of all.

Wilbur Holmes, of Wade Plantation, died of lockjaw Sunday morning. He was buried by the Sons of Veterans on Monday.
