Born on Jefferson Street on the square in Clinton Missouri, in the Apartment above the Pool Hall & Cafe his parents ran.

4th of July was his favorite Holiday, & he always put on a great fireworks display.


when he was 17 he was working on a big box truck, and the jack

failed, his left leg was crushed. as he was headed for surgery, the Dr asked

my grandma to sign papers for amputation, my father heard that, and made

my grandma promise not to let the Dr take his leg. The leg was saved

but he suffered with pain, and had a prominent limp for the

rest of his life


The Christmas eve of 1963 my dad and my uncle Max(My moms bro) went out

"partying" they drove(my uncle was driving, and barley got injured) off the bridge on old 71 hwy in South KC, and into the water...my dad spent a month in Baptist Memorial Hospital

in a body cast.

All of our Christmas presents were in the trunk!

One of my Dads best buddies & family friend, Harold Leroy Hoey,

A Game Warden for many years.
