Lillian Luetta Alcott was the daughter of Marion Russel Allcox/Alcott & Helen Luetta (Henkle) Alcott of Garrison, IA. Married on Aug. 31, 1940, Benton Co., IA to Mearl Arlo Jones, (Sr.) who was born Nov. 26, 1913, Center Point, Linn Co., IA, the son of James Jones & Minnie (Ferguson) Jones. Mearl was part Indian. Lillian & Mearl Jones were the parents of 8 children: Sierra Sue Jones, Marlene Kay Jones, Luetta Mearldine Jones, Evelyn Marie Jones, Nancy Lee Jones, Mary Jean Jones, Mearl Arlo Jones, Jr., Marcia June Jones.
Lillian died from cancer in 1978 (her tombstone is one year off).
