James, age 83, died at a hospital in Manhattan. He was the son of James Sr. and Alcasta Ann (Laughlin) Wilson. He graduated from St. George (KS) High School in 1943 and served in the US Navy. He worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Topeka, as an A-Frame Tire Splicer for 32 years. He married Jeannine Lee Freeman on November 7, 1948. He married Katherine Jo Bucker on August 26, 1997, in Las Vegas. He is survived by his wife, his sons, Tom Wilson, Don Wilson, and Jim Wilson, his sister, Eula Hedman, 6 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Yorgenson-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Chapel in Manhattan. Burial, with military honors, was held at St. George Cemetery.
