Homer G. Agnew, a resident of Elm Avenue, Millerton, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 26, at Great Barrington, Mass. Until his retirement in 1963, he was a self-employed painting contractor. Mr. Agnew had made his home in Millerton since 1915. He was born in Ausable Forks, the son of John and Cora Agnew. His wife, the former Winifred Wheeler, died, in July, 1970. Survivors include a son, Clifford, Millerton; a daughter, Mrs. Marion Hoyt, Lighthouse Point, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Helen Fisher, Oneonta; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the Valentine Funeral Home, Millerton, on Wednesday, March 29. Rev. Harry Robinson officiated. Burial was in Irondale Cemetery.
