During his service, he earned the Bronze Star Medal as well as the Unit Citation while serving for the duration of the Italian Campaign during WW II.

For meritorious service in support of combat operations in Italy from 11 June 1944 to 2 May 1945.
As office administrator, Chaplain Section, IV Corps, Warrant Officer BROCK demonstrated outstanding administrative ability and skill in the performance of his duties and enabled the many and varied administrative details to be handled in an efficient and thorough manner.
His understand of the organization of the staff section enabled him to coordinate intelligently all administrative manners and to advise the proper line of action.
In the many changes of bivouac areas, he supervised the moving of the section and organized the moves in such a way as to result in only a minimal operational interruption.
His unstinting industry, sound judgement, and ingenuity are deserving of the highest praise and are in keeping with the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the United States.
