Death takes John Larson in Hospital

Negaunee, June 4 -- John Gustaf Larson, 320 Tobin Street, former manager of the James Pickands and Co. yard here, died at 9:10 last night in the Twin City hospital.

Born Dec. 12, 1880 in Humboldt, he had resided here 40 years. He was retired two years ago, following 38 years of employment by the James Pickands and Co.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge; Modern Woodmen of America, Swedish lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and an honorary member of the American Legion.

Survivors are his wife, the former Della Heath; four sons, Albert, Dearborn; Jack, Pickford; Kenneth, Negaunee; Willard, Milwaukee; a daughter, Mrs. Adella Stone, Negaunee; a sister, Mrs. Ellen Owen, Chicago, a brother, William, Chicago; and five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 Monday afternoon at Perala's funeral home and at 2:15 in the Bethany Lutheran church with the Rev. Luther Knock, Ishpeming, officiating. Burial will be in the Negaunee cemetery.
