Francis Marion Hockenberry was the son of John Hockenberry and Mary Kyler. Francis had three sisters; Elizabeth E., Prisila Ann Hockenberry, and Hannah I. Hockenberry. He also had ther brothers; David, Alvin, and Martin. Francis married Susannah Robeson Jan 07, 1864 in Lumber City, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. They were married by Isaac Lemon, Justice of the Peace. Francis and Susannah had seven children, two of them sons and five of the daughters. They are as follows:
1. Adeline Hockenberry b. Jan 25, 1865 d. Sep 18, 1882
2. Delilah B. Hockenberry b. Mar 07, 1867 d. Aug 13, 1941
3. Woren Bell Hockenberry b. Mar 08, 1869 d. Apr 08, 1869
4. Clara Jane Hockenberry b. Feb 27, 1870 d. Jun 16, 1950
5. Martha Ellen Hockenberry b. Oct 13, 1872 d. Sep 1951
6. Anna Elizabeth Hockenberry b. Apr 25, 1875 d. Jan 20, 1943
7. Edward Milton Hockenberry b. Jun 24, 1882 d. Apr 08, 1960

Francis was a Farmer and a Blacksmith by trade and was a Methodist in his religion. Francis was also a Civil War Veteran.
