Clyde and Luella Reils were welcomed into God's loving arms together on Saturday, September 6, 2008, just as they were joined together in marriage 67 years ago. They had made their home in Frankfort for most of those years and will be remembered by all who knew them as amazing, loving people. Clyde proudly served the Frankfort Fire Protection District as a volunteer fireman and District Trustee for 30 years, as well as a Village of Frankfort Trustee from 1955-1967. Clyde retired from Mobile Chemical in 1986 after having spent many years working on farm machinery. Luella was always involved with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren's lives, as well as all the special adopted children and grandchildren of the church, which gave her the honor of being named Grandmother of the Year. Luella retired in 1986 from Frankfort State Bank. Together they raised four children, Dale (Carolynn) Reils of Delton, MI, Diane (Everett "Buddy") Hauert of Elwood, Karen (Curt) LaFontaine of Grenada, MS, and Donna (Jay) Roesel of Mokena. Family was their greatest joy and they are also survived by 12 grandchildren, Rob Reils, Connie (David) Trevarthan, Cindy (Matt) Falejczyk, Jeff Hauert, Tammy (Brian) Bernhard, Jerry (Heather) Hauert, Melissa, Matt and Kim Hauert, Lisa (Nathan) Bynum, Jayson (Jackie) Roesel and Andrea Roesel, and 18 great-grandchildren; Clyde is also survived by brothers, Alvin of Monee and Dwayne of Manteno; and sisters, Virginia Clausing of Peotone and Doris Farrer of Homewood.

Luella is preceded in death by brothers, Wesley and Everett Kochel; and sister, Alice Bormet. They will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by their many friends, card playing buddies and extended family from the Frankfort United Methodist Church. No family could have had a better role model than Clyde and Luella.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials in their honor to the Frankfort United Methodist Church.
