WILLIAMSBURG - Barbara Joyce Moore Page, a longtime resident of Williamsburg, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2006, at the home of her daughter in California. Barbara was born Jan. 2, 1920, in West Point, Va. She joined the Navy (WAVES) after high school, and was stationed in Oakland, Calif. There she met Clarence W. Page Jr., married and lived in Berkeley, Calif., for the birth of their much-loved five children. Barbara is survived by her children, Barbara Joan Page of Dominguez Hills, Calif., David W. Page of Williamsburg, Beverly A. Lewis of Lyme, Conn., Robert G. Page of Williamsburg and Jane M. Beard of Covina, Calif. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, in Cedar Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Jones of Williamsburg Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, in Amory Funeral Home, Grafton. Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of your choice.
