Emma moved from Cloud County, Kansas to Garden City in 1906 with her parents, Edward Carry Dufrin and Malinda Landry. On 19 Oct 1909 Emma married Norbert Becquet, son of Jean Baptiste Becquet and Aglae Forestier, at Garden City.
About 1937, Emma worked for Swift and Company in Garden City. In 1942, she began working as a seamstress for Garden City's Sally-Ed Cleaners. She retired full time in 1957 and continued to work there part time until she was 72 years old.
Emma was a member of the Garden City, Kansas Presbyterian Church and the Royal Neighbors. In 1975, she was awarded Certificate of Achievement for completing twenty-five years of membership in the Eastern Star - Finney County, Kansas Chapter # 359.
Her husband, Norbert Becquet and son William F. Becquet preceded her in death. Surviving were her daughter, Albertine Williams and son Dr. Norbert Becquet. She was survived by 2 grandchildren, Kathye Snyder and Ronald K. Snyder.
A funeral service for Emma was held on 29 August 1985 at the Phillip-White Funeral Home in Garden City, Kansas.
