KEANSBURG-—Mrs. Margaretta Sarah Brooks Abbott, 67, wife of Clifton Abbott, 198 Myrtle ave., died Sunday morning at Riverview hospital. Born in Ireland, Mrs. Abbott was a daughter of the late Joseph E. and Mary M. Edwards Brooks. She came to the United States 50 years ago and made her home In Red Bank a number of years. She had been a resident of Keansburg the past five years. Mrs. Abbott was a member of Trinity Episcopal church, Red Bank, and of the church guild.

Surviving besides her husband are a granddaughter, Mrs. Chancette Hobert, Elisabeth, and two brothers, Patrolman William F. Brooks of the Red Bank police department, 19 Leroy pl., and Arthur H. Brooks, 220 River st., Red Bank.

The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at Trinity Episcopal church. Rev. Russell A. Smith, vicar of St. Mark's Episcopal church, this place, officiated in the absence of Rev. Robert H. Anderson, rector of Trinity church. Rev. Mr. Smith was assisted by Rev. William B. Stott, vicar of Christ Episcopal church, Trenton. Miss Margaret Allen was organist. Burial under the direction of the Worden funeral home was in Greenlawn cemetery, West Long Branch. Bearers were Fred Munden, Chadwlck Henderson, Joseph Holiday and Victor C, Goodrldge.
