William Preston Miller, 78, died Tuesday afternoon at his home after a short illness.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the home by Bro. M. A. Creel. Interment was in the City Cemetery, Spry directing.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Francis Miller; 5 sons, Clifford, Jess, George, Tollie Miller, all of Athens and Loyd Miller of Russellville, Ala.; 2 daughters, Mrs. Lou Clanton of Decatur and Mrs. Pansy Smith of Athens; two brothers, Dorse and Isaac of Arkansas and California; 31 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
The grandsons served as pallbearers.
