Velma Grace Wood was known by everyone as Grace. She, and husband, Ervan lived in the same house in Lansing since moving there after Ervan returned from the Navy. Grace was the mother of one daughter, Nancy, who died at birth, and Jim who she adored until the day of her passing. She was always the devoted wife and passionate mother and grandmother. At the time of her death, she was very proud to tell you she had 1 grandson, Christopher, and 2 granddaughters, Kiva and Jessica. She also had 1 great granddaughter and 4 great grandsons. If hearts can be broken, hers was the day that Ervan died. She never stopped missing him even with her memory loss. Each and every day she would be there waiting for him to come and get her.
Although we miss her greatly, we know that she now shares her time with her beloved husband and the daughter she never got to know.
