Joseph P. Korek
Age 86, of Trotwood, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2004, at Covenant House. Mr. Korek was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Mary E. Korek, in 1996. He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Marijo & Lawrence Steinke of Vandalia, Karen & David Trimbach of Vandalia, Sandy & Lou Karides of FL.; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Mark, Joe, Andy, Amy, Dena & Nicole; and by five great grandchildren, Adam, Alex, Avery, Kara & Jake. Mr. Korek was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church for over 30 years, he retired from Brinkman Tool in 1982 and he enjoyed bow hunting and woodworking. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. William O'Donnell at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to Mass. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Mr. Korek to Precious Blood Catholic Church, 4961 Salem Ave., Dayton, Ohio 45416.
