She was born Nov. 16, 1956, in Pine Bluff to James Treavor and Mildred Keith Anderson.
Mrs. Jennings was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating from Pine Bluff High School in 1975. She was a member of the Pine Bluff choir and band. She had worked at Immanuel Baptist Church Daycare, where she started as a cook, then became a teacher and retired after 19 years as the director. She was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church and a faithful choir member.
Mrs. Jennings is survived by her husband, James "Jay" Alford Jennings, whom she married on May 31, 1975, in Pine Bluff; two sons, James Allen Jennings and his wife, Kelly, of Forestburg, Texas; Jeremy Aaron Jennings of Pine Bluff; her father and mother, James Treavor and Mildred Keith Anderson of Pine Bluff; a sister, Brenda Kay Armitage of Albany, Wisconsin; two granddaughters, Allison Elizabeth Jennings of Forestburg, Texas, and Hannah Elizabeth Jennings of Pine Bluff.
The family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 p.m. at Ralph Robinson and Son.
Service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2008, at Watson Chapel Baptist Church with Reverend Todd Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Cypress Memorial Gardens.
