Charles Hailey, 73, of Joplin passed away on May 26, 2000 at St. John's Regional Medical Center. He was born on February 21, 1927 in Saginaw to Fred and Mary (Sala) Hailey. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a retired truck driver. He married Lois Marion Fanning on May 29, 1949 in Joplin. She preceded him in death on July 31, 1993. Survivors include his son, Michael Hailey of Joplin; his daughter, Patsy Sue Emmett of Joplin; his brother, John Hailey of Joplin; his sister, Kathryn Emmert of Joplin; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Parker Mortuary with Rev. Fred Vogel officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park.
