Albert LaBOUNTY was born near Gilman IL on 1 Oct 1867, youngest son of Peter LaBOUNTY and Mary DeMARSE. The family moved to near Nelson NE in 1878, here he grew to manhood. He was united in marriage to Rillie MOFFETT on 6 Mar 1890. To this union were born three sons and three daughters, one son passed away in infancy. Mrs. LaBOUNTY passed away 20 Feb 1920. On 11 Jun 1922 he was united in marriage to Miss Nora COSSGROVE. He had been in business at Farnam since 1908. He was always a booster for the schools and the community and served the area for over 50 years. He was a member of the State Legislature for two terms, was a member of the Lions Club and attended the Meth Ch. He had gradually failed in health for several months and passed away at the Gothenburg Hosp on 3 Jun. Survivors besides his wife are five children: Ethel EALY, Virgie LOGAN, Ina SLONECKER, Allan and Marion LaBOUNTY; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was a loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by all. Final resting place was in the Moorefield Cem.
