Alice M. Baltzell, 75, route 4, Decatur , who resided three and one-half miles south of Decatur in Washington Township , a former Adams County Deputy Treasurer for 16 years, died at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Decatur Community Care Center . She had been a patient there for the past 11 days.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church , Order of the Eastern Star 127, and the Adams County Bar Association.

She graduated from Decatur High School in 1921.

Born in Decatur on October 28, 1902, she was a daughter of E. Burt and Martha Johnson-Lenhart, and was united in marriage on July 28, 1943 to Victor L. Baltzell, who survives.

Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Charles (Velma) Bowman, Rockford ; and one brother, Orval M. Lenhart, Decatur.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Zwick Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Elson officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur Cemetery . Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday until time of the services.
