MRS. EMMA BALTZELL DIES MONDAY NIGHT - Mrs. T. H. Baltzell is Taken by Death

Mrs. Emma Jane Baltzell, 81, prominent Adams County lady and wife of T. H. Baltzell, former Adams county auditor, died last night at 7:15 o'clock at her home, five and one-half miles southwest of Decatur.

Death was caused by asthma and complications. She had been ill four weeks and bedfast for the past week.

Mrs. Baltzell was born in Washington township October 15, 1860, the daughter of Thomas and Sarah Little-Andrews. She was married September 2, 1882. Mrs. Baltzell was a lifelong resident of Decatur and Washington township.

Surviving besides the husband, are the following children: Mrs. Von Reber of route six, Decatur; Walter T. Baltzell of Dundee, Ill.; Mrs. Carl Adler of route four, Decatur; Mrs. Ruth Williams of Richmond; Mrs. Ervin Lochner of route four, Decatur; John C. Baltzell and Dent O. Baltzell, both of route six, Decatur, Victor L. Baltzell, at home, and Mrs. Walter J. Elzey of Decatur; 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Baltzell home, with Rev. H. H. Meckstrother of Vera Cruz officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery.

The body will be returned to the residence this evening from the Zwick funeral home and may be viewed there after 7 p.m.
