Zella Ann Paul, 89, St. Omer, died at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday at Heritage Nursing Home, Greensburg.
She was born in Shelby county October 16, 1895 to John Preston and Josie Joann (Young) Jones. On August 28, 1915, she was married to John Franklin Paul, who died October 1, 1976.
Mrs. Paul lived in St. Omer for 60 years, and she was a member of the Bethel Separate Baptist church.
Survivors include a son, J. D. Paul, Orlando, Florida; four daughters, Mrs. Audie (Hazel) Coker, Las Vegas, Nevada, Mrs. Kenneth (Norma) Hayes, Yucca Valley, California, Mrs. Herschel (Martha) Holt, Waldron, Mrs. Bonnie Knight, St Omer; a half-brother, Orval Jones, St. Paul; two half-sisters, Mrs. Dora Monroe, Shelbyville, and Mrs. Howard (Naomi) Treitch, Dunedin, Florida; 24 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, two sisters, a brother, two half-brothers, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Glenn E. George Funeral Home, St. Paul, with Rev. Jim Brattin officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery, Shelby county.
