Fort Worth -- Betty Ann Murphy, 78, of Keene, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008, in Fort Worth. Services were 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008, in the United Presbyterian Church. Rev. Mike Thompson officiated. Burial was in the Keene Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kelly Gale, Frank Keifer, David Rose, David Knight, Polo Sandoval and David Bass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Living Concepts of Cleburne. Mrs. Murphy was born December 30, 1929 in Orange, Texas to Gillam and Hattie Merrill Linscomb. She married James Edward Murphy January 20, 1950 in Port Neches, Texas. She was a bookkeeper and a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Cleburne. Betty was also a member of the Blue Bonnet Grandmother's Club, Chapter 680, of Cleburne.
Betty Ann Murphy is survived by her husband, James Edward "Ed" Murphy, of Keene; her two daughters, Cindy Gale, of Port Neches and Shannon Murphy of Keene; grandchildren, Kimberly Perkins and Kelly Gale; great-grandson, Adam Perkins; sister, Edith Harris and husband, Gene, of Lumberton, Texas; cousins, Lonez M. and Jack Rose; special friend, Amy Giesen and a host of other relatives and friends.
