Robert Wesley "Bob" Inman, SSGT USAF (ret), age 73, passed away the 13 September, 2008 at Dobson Hospice House in Chandler, AZ. He was born 26 October 1934 in Barberton, Summit Co, OH. He is survived by his widow, Gloria "Kay" (Vandiver) Inman, at their home in Chandler; a daughter, Lisa Dawn (Frederic) Reuter (Mrs. Luther D.) of AZ City, AZ; a son, Corey Norman and Karina (Rangel) Frederic of Leon, GTO, Mexico; Eight grandchildren; Stefanie Anne Waters; Eric Olsen; Bradley Park; Nicholas Frederic; Britney Frederic; Jeffrey Frederic; Jonathan Mendonsa; Corey Powell; and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by three step-sisters; Ruth A. (Schneider) Johnson (Mrs Forrest) of Sandy Valley, NV; Shirley (Schneider) Legg of Akron, OH; and Donna J. (Schneider) Neely (Mrs. Hal), of Merritt Island, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Clyde Inman; his mother, Helen Viola (Brown) Schneider; step-father, Stephen R. Schneider; and a daughter, Luralynn Kay "Lolly" Powell. Robert was retired from the U.S. Air Force, having served in Spain, Germany, and Alaska where he worked as a newscaster for KTVA TV and KNIK FM, and later as a Telecommunications Engineer for the Municipality of Anchorage. He and Kay were married January 1, 1972 in Anchorage, Alaska. He retired from the State of Alaska in 1986 and they travelled extensively, settling in Tempe, AZ where Bob worked for the City of Tempe as a Communications Network Engineer. He was a long-time member of the American Theatre Organ Society, Valley of the Sun Chapter and contributed by serving as the webmaster of this site and director of publicity for chapter events. He was also a member of the Air National Guard, the American Legion, the Alaska Press Club, and the Anchorage Police Department. Services were held Friday, 19 September at the Queen of Heaven Chapel at 1500 E. Baseline Rd, Mesa, AZ. Burial with full military honors followed at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix.
