He received his master's degree in communications from Boston University . He was a professor at Boston University, and a sports writer and most recently published several books on hockey, life, and love.
Family members include his wife, Barbara (Baldwin) Falla of Natick; one son, Brian D. Falla of Hudson; one daughter, Tracey A. Falla Fontaine of Cumberland, Maine; two grandchildren; a brother, Patrick Falla of Conway, Mass.; a sister, Elizabeth Verrill of Hampstead, N.H.; an aunt; and several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rte. 16) Wellesley. A Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, Natick. Interment will be private.
