Clarice Georgia Marcil, 70, Richfield, died Nov. 28, 1979, in a Richfield hospital.

She was born March 1, 1909, Elsinore, to Thomas Walter and Clara Nelson Smith. She was married to Maurice B. Cowley, September 1, 1935; later divorced. She was married to Ernest S. Marcil, November 8, 1965. He died July 14, 1979. She was a member of the LDS Church; past telephone operator; past postmaster in Elsinore. She was a former apartment operator in Anaheim, California. She was a member of the Elsinore Literary Club.

Survivors: son, daughter, Robert M. Cowley, Mrs. Bill (Dixie) Dalton, both of Elsinore; brother Rex (LuRue) Smith, Elsinore; five grandchildren; step-children, Mrs. Jack (Cherie) Clawson, Batesville, Indiana; Mrs. Glen (MariLyn) Hales, Las Vegas, Nevada; uncle, Al Nelson of Prescott, Arizona.

Funeral services were Saturday in the Richfield Eighth LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Terry Anderson, conducting. Lael Nielson played prelude and postlude music and Garth Mickelson offered the invocation. Speakers were Bishop Anderson, Elizabeth Staples and Merwin Stewart. Music included vocal solo by Glenyce Poulson and organ medley by Lael Nielsen. Carl Wilker offered the benediction.

Burial was in the Elsinore Cemetery by Springer Funeral Home, Richfield, where C.R. Wood, offered the dedicatory prayer. Palbearers were Bill Dalton, Dean Meyers, Rex Lund, Brad Thompson, Dick Miller.
