ELSINORE-Clara Elizabeth Nelson Smith, 87, Anaheim, Calif., and formerly of Elsinore, died July 15, in Anaheim of natural causes.

She was born June 3, 1883, Logan, Utah. She was married to Thomas Walter Smith in Elsinore. He died Dec. 27, 1945. She was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors: Son Rex F., Elsinore; Daughter Clarice Marcil, Anaheim, Calif., Brother Al Nelson, Prescott, Arizona; eight grandchildren; eight great grand children.

Funeral services were Monday in the Elsinore Ward Chapel with Bishop Grant Roberts, conducting. W.W. Sylvester offered the family prayer and Jetta Marquardson played prelude music. Clifford Magleby gave the invocation. Speakers were Gwendolyn Jacobson, Rulon Newell and Bishop Roberts. Music included selections by a ladies chorus. Arnold Barney offered the benediction.

Burial was in the Elsinore Cemetery by Springer Mortuary, Richfield, where Leon Madsen offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Robert Cowley, Don Johnson, Clark Lee, Cleve Jensen, Ray Reynolds and William Bell.
