Albert Franklin Osman was born in Red Bank Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, the son of Israel Osman and Sarah Osman (nee Reitz). He married Mary Emma Curry, daughter of Jacob Pratt Curry and Sarah Buzard about 1888. They had nine children, one son who died in infancy. In 1909 his wife died and left eight young children. On August 17, 1910, in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, he married Minnie Kemmler (nee Bettinger).

The Herald Star, Steubenville, Ohio, published Saturday, February 3, 1940:
Albert F. Osman Dies At Home of Daughter. Albert F. Osman, 71, of McKees Rocks, Pa., died Friday at 1:35 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Audrey Rose, 721 Highland avenue. Surviving are his widow, Minnie; seven children, Howard, McKees Rocks; Ernest and Albert, New Brighton, Pa.; George, Van Port, Pa., Mrs. Emma Miller, Butler, Pa.; Mrs. Ethel Manny and Mrs. Rose, of Steubenville, and one stepson, Harry Kemmler, McKees Rocks. Also surviving are a brother, Joseph Osman, Olean, N.Y., and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Farley and Mrs. Minaica (sic: Lavina) Meriada (sic: Marando), DuBois, Pa. There are 22 grandchildren. Mr. Osman was a member of the Methodist church of Butler, Pa. The body will be removed today from the Elliott funeral home to the McDermott funeral home at McKees Rocks.

Albert F., husband of Minnie Kemmler and father of Mrs. Mae Manning, Mrs. Audrey Rose of Stuebenville; Mrs. Emma Miller, Butler, Pa, Ernest and Dwight of New Brighton, George of Vanport, and Howard of McKees Rocks. Funeral services at McDermitt Bros., 531 Chartiers Ave., McKees Rocks, on Monday, Feb. 5 at 2:00 p.m. Interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, McKees Rocks.
