The daughter of Rev. Thomas Hooker of Hartford, Conn., she married Rev. Roger Newton in 1644 in Hartford, Conn.

Their children: Samuel Newton, Roger Newton Jr., Mary (Newton) Jackson, Susanna (Newton) Stone Burwell, John Newton, Ezekiel Newton, Sarah (Newton) Wilson, Alice (Newton) Buckingham, and Mary Newton.

Mary was the second known child of Rev. Thomas and Susan (Garbrand) Hooker. She was born say 1624. She married by about 1646 Rev. Roger Newton. She had one child by the date of her father's will, 7 July 1647; see TAG 14:99-103.
