Albert G. Tansley was the son of John and Mary Ann Tansley of Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the father of Ralph M. Tansley, Roland W. Tansley, Frances Elizabeth Tansley, and Florence Rhoda Tansley Crompton. He was the husband of Bertha Rue Tansley. Albert and Bertha were married on October 29, 1896, in the Second Presbyterian Church, Germantown, Pennsylvania. At the time of his death, he was the grandfather of Janet Deans Tansley, Louise Remont Tansley, Eleanor L. Crompton and Elizabeth Crompton.

Albert G. Tansley was a watchmaker and jeweler in Darby, PA for many years.

ALBERT G. TANSLEY

Albert G. Tansley, widely known Darby jeweler, died suddenly at 7 o'clock last night in a restaurant when he was stricken with a heart attack. A nearby physician pronounced him dead and Deputy Coroner Charles H. Drewes removed the body to the morgue.

Mr. Tansley was 69 years old, and lived at 1122 Main Street. He had been a Darby resident for 40 years and was active in community affairs. He served on the school board and was a member of Fernwood Lodge of Masons, Orphans Rest Lodge, I.O.O.F., Sons and Daughters of Liberty, and Order of Independent Americans. He was formerly active in Major M.A. Gherst Camp, No. 51, Sons of Veterans.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Bertha Tansley, he is survived by two daughters and a son, Mrs. Florence Crompton and Miss Frances Tansley, of Darby, and Roland W. Tansley of Wilmington. A sister, Miss Rachel Tansley, of Frankford, also survives. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
