Katharine, her Mother and a brother (Ludwig?) came to America aboard the 'Roland' from Bremen, Germany arriving in New York on April 12, 1894. The ship record indicated they were going to Illinois.
Katharine and August Bock were married at Germantown, in Seward County, Nebraska on December 6, 1898. They lived in Seward County several years before coming to Buffalo County. Their children were Louis, Irwin, and Esther.

Wife of August Bock Died Sunday After Accident
The funeral of Mrs. Katherine Bock, aged 48, wife of August Bock, will be held from the St. John's German Lutheran church in Cedar township Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. W. Dallmann, officiating.
Mrs. Bock's death, which occurred in Ravenna on Sunday afternoon, was due indirectly to an auto accident which happened two years ago, when Mr. and Mrs. Bock and their daughter, Esther, left their home on a trip to Michigan to visit relatives. Two cars collided, breaking Mrs. Bock's back and injuring Mr. Bock and the daughter.
She leaves beside her husband, two sons, Louis and Erwin, and a daughter, Esther
