VALPARAISO – Services are 11 am Wednesday at Bartholomew Funeral Home, Valparaiso, for Lee J. Hindenburg, 83, of Valparaiso, who died Sunday, Nov. 29, 1992, at Willows Rehabilitation Center, Valparaiso.

The Rev. Ned Gillum officiating; burial at Kimball Cemetery; visitation 4-7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home; Masonic service 7pm Tuesday; memorials to First Christian Church of Valparaiso Building Fund.

Hindenburg was born Jan. 28, 1909, in Coral Ill., the son of Richard and Birdie (Weinhart) Hindenburg.

He was a retired electrician for McGill Manufacturing Company. A U.S. Army World War II veteran, he was a member of First Christian Church of Valparaiso, Past Master Porter Lodge 137, Past High Priest Valparaiso Chapter 79, Illustrious Master Valparaiso Council 86, Past Commander Valparaiso Commandary 28 and KYCH Priory 8 of Fort Wayne.

On Jan. 1, 1942, in Valparaiso, he married El Louise Zimmerman, who preceded him in death in 1989.

Surviving are one sister, Louise Babcock of Valparaiso, and several nieces and nephews.
